Get Career Ready!

Alaska Career Ready is a credentialing program that tests - and scores - foundational job skills and work habits. The program allows students and adults to evaluate their readiness for work and occupational training, to improve the foundational skills valued by employers and educators, and to earn a nationally recognized credential, that National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) through the WorkKeys Assessments. The credential gives jobseekers and students a competitive edge - a credential that proves to employers that they have the rights skills and the right attitude for the job. For employers, the use of the credential takes the guesswork out of hiring, saving time and money.

Alaska Career Ready is sponsored by the State of Alaska, Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Department of Education and Early Development, so there is no cost for employers, jobseekers, or students to participate in the program.

Whether you are a student, a parent, an employer, a job seeker, a teacher, or a career guidance counselor, Alaska Career Ready is for you!
